This portfolio presents selected writing and coursework that had been conducted throughout our
entire Fall 2025 semester. During the semester to demonstrate individual progress we showcase
our works and findings in different segments. The document reflects my development in drafting,
revision, genre assessments, lab writings. In addition, I will conclude my entire works and
findings in these segments and will converge the total outcome of the following course.
Self-Assessment
Over the course of this semester, I have developed quite well as a writer, reader and a critical
thinker. . At the beginning of the course, I viewed writing mainly as a task focused on grammar,
structure, and meeting basic assignment requirements. Since our classrooms were made up of
diverse backgrounds and ethnicity, we often found a range of linguistic diversity. It is an
intriguing factor in our course when we conduct various students with diverse backgrounds
despite having cultural and socio-economical differences. It supports us to grow as a person and
learn about other linguistic terms and understand behavioural traits. While working as a
group(08), we have learned a few social skills which enhances our communication skillset. It
helps us learn how to operate as a team and the distribution of workloads to each member in an
academic manner. In class, we reviewed our peers(another group) assignments and findings
while having a constructive discussion along with the members from both parties.
During our class sessions, the professor ran a few online based flexible tasks for chapterbased to
make sure students read the course materials and also engage with our course with professional
humour. Artificial Intelligence tasks have been dealt with rhetorical situations which generated
argumentative sides against the algorithmic AI biases. Here we have learned to enhance our
strategies for reading, writing, drafting, revising, editing etc. Most of our work-site and
activities were an inductive method of expressing. To successfully run our compasses, Canva,
Chat-Gpt, The New York, Department of labor statistics, Google Scholar and other journals or
sites contribute a significant role to portraying more viable results in our findings and works.
The Op-Ed is one of my favorite tasks where I have addressed ‘The housing crisis’ in our New
York city. I have inclined more on socio-economical zones to focus on the issue where we can
come to a collective solution if the authorities dive into this cause contemplatively. Affordability
is an issue I have raised in my op-edThroughout our findings, we have found that databases and
sources can be diluted within few biases. Gender discrimination, Age biases, anti racial rhetoric
were one of those major issues we have addressed.
We are the members of group 08, contacting each other via what’s app by following our
professor’s instructions regarding the form of group. SPSA was one of the most exciting tasks
which helped us to acquire a general knowledge regarding video editing and presentations
purposes. Our primary motive was “Stay green and stay healthy”. We chose our own active
college club the ‘Green Club’ as our reference and motivation. Afterwards, we dealt with policy
writing. Policy is a statement to ensure safety in the workplace and satisfy the clients. Violations
or impeding policies will cause significant consequences. Thus, any personnel should abide by
these policy terms to make the city run with sustainability.
In conclusion, I have presented the findings for ‘Math-Profession’ biases via Zoom. As per our
research, I compared the real data versus the AI data with some non-bias and neutral prompts.
Overall, this portfolio represents my development as a writer over the semester. The completed
tasks demonstrate my growth in drafting, revising, genre awareness, and critical reading. Most
importantly, my perception of writing has changed from viewing it as a simple academic
requirement to understanding it as a flexible, intentional, and ongoing process. This course has
provided me with strategies and skills that I will continue to use in future academic and
professional writing contexts.
